
Animal Testing on the Outs?
In 2020, EPA’s New Approach Methods, also known as NAMs, was released with the incentive to reduce the use of vertebrate animal testing (US EPA NAMs). Based on new legislation, the US FDA will no longer need to require animal testing before human drug trials. Alternative methods for research and development are becoming more and more favorable not only to reduce animal testing but in cost-effectiveness as well. Check out the article here.
