
From Droughts to Floods: California’s Wacky Weather
In our September newsletter (The Current), we visited the Southwest of the United States and saw the dire need for reductions in water usage due to the region being in a severe drought. Three months later, California is being inundated with rainfall. A narrow corridor of concentrated moisture, also known as an atmospheric river, has been the culprit to the region’s flooding. Both the drought and the flooding are major causes of concern for the California farmers.
